Gurdwara Darbar Sahib at Kartarpur is about 120 km away in Narowal District, by way of Narang Mandi. Onward by motorway: Islamabad, the Salt Range and the north

The Ring Road meets the M-2 at Babu Sabu, so a car bound for Islamabad joins the motorway without crossing the middle of Lahore. The M-2 runs 375 km to the M-1 near Islamabad, and the drive usually takes four to five hours. It passes the Lilla interchange for the Khewra Salt Mine and takes the northern tours as far as Islamabad. The M-11 leaves the Ring Road for Sialkot; Faisalabad is reached by the M-2 and the M-4, and Multan by the M-3 and the M-4. In the fog weeks of December and January the Motorway Police advise travelling in daylight, so a late-night winter arrival can set off the next morning. The driver's meals and stay on overnight journeys are part of the quote. Motorway tolls are extra.
