Rent a Car at Islamabad Airport, with Your Driver at Arrivals

Rent a car with a driver at Islamabad International Airport (ISB). Your driver meets your flight at the arrivals exit at any hour. From there you go into Islamabad or Rawalpindi, or straight onto the motorway for Murree, Naran or Swat. Within the twin cities, a 10-hour day costs from PKR 5,000 in a Suzuki Alto, driver included. Fuel and overtime are extra, and onward trips are quoted per trip.

Finding your driver at arrivals

Give the office your flight number, date, destination, passenger count and luggage details when booking. Ask for the pickup meeting point and contact details for your flight. After collecting your bags, use the agreed contact to coordinate with the driver and message the office if you need help finding the location.

Airport pickup or a car for the day

Say whether you need a single transfer into Islamabad or Rawalpindi, a car for meetings after arrival or an onward trip. Send the date, flight number, destination, passenger count and bags. Confirm the total and the booked hours, fuel, parking, waiting and flight-delay arrangements with the office. The daily rate in the fleet is a daily-hire reference; onward journeys are quoted per trip.

Night landings and early departures

The Orange Line metrobus between the airport and Faiz Ahmed Faiz station in H-8 stops at about 10pm. Book ahead so a driver is assigned to your flight. For a departure, send the flight time and your pickup address. The driver works back from check-in, allows for the drive and the security check at the airport gate, and suggests a pickup time with a margin.

From the terminal straight onto the motorway

The airport connects directly to the M-1 and M-2 motorways. For Naran, the M-1 joins the Hazara Motorway (M-15) near Hasan Abdal. It runs through Haripur, Havelian and Abbottabad to Mansehra, the road to Balakot and Naran. Naran is about 280 to 285 km from Islamabad, six to eight hours with stops. For Swat, the Swat Motorway (M-16) leaves the M-1 at Nowshera for Chakdara; Kalam is about 320 to 330 km away and takes about as long. Murree, about 64 km from Islamabad by the Murree Expressway, is roughly an hour and a half away in light traffic.

Starting a northern tour at the arrivals exit

Flying in for the mountains? Book the car and driver for the whole tour, starting at the airport. Whether a sedan will do depends on your route and the season, so send both. For Babusar, Khunjerab or Skardu, ask about a Toyota Prado or Toyota Land Cruiser. The Babusar road usually opens in late May and closes in November, on dates set each year. Hunza is about 630 km over Babusar in summer, or about 700 km by the Karakoram Highway through Besham. After a long-haul flight, we suggest a night in Islamabad first. On multi-day tours the driver's overnight stays are included. Motorway tolls are extra.

Business arrivals, VIP guests and delegations

Visiting directors, consultants and auditors can go from arrivals straight to meetings in Blue Area or on Constitution Avenue. A Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla Altis Grande suits most of these visits, and a Toyota Land Cruiser a protocol movement. For a VIP guest, ask whether a Mercedes-Benz C-Class or an Audi can be arranged for your dates. Several guests on one flight can share a Toyota Grand Cabin, or take separate cars if you say so when booking. The same car and driver can stay with a visitor for the whole visit.
