Blocks, neighbourhood names and Shahrah-e-Pakistan
Many blocks go by their own names. Blocks 1 and 2 are Sharifabad, block 3 is Hussainabad and blocks 7 and 8 are Azizabad. Block 16 is Water Pump, block 20 Ancholi, and blocks 21 and 22 the industrial area. Shahrah-e-Pakistan roughly divides F.B. Area in two, and a car on the wrong side has to find a turning. When you book, give the block, the neighbourhood, the street, your side of the road and a landmark or location pin.
Eid and wedding shopping at Hyderi Bara Market
Hyderi Bara Market, with its clothing, jewellery and household shops, is a short drive away on the North Nazimabad side. Its streets are narrow and parking is scarce at peak hours, so a car with a driver makes a big Eid or wedding shop easier.

Federal B Industrial Area: staff and visiting buyers
Managers and visiting buyers usually need a presentable car for the day, such as a Toyota Corolla or a Honda Civic. It collects them from a hotel or the airport and drives between the factory, the bank and other suppliers. For staff who live across the city, a Toyota Grand Cabin or a Changan Karvaan runs a regular pick-and-drop on a monthly contract.
To the airport, and out on the M-9
Jinnah International is about 14 km from Water Pump Chowrangi by road, across Gulshan-e-Iqbal on Rashid Minhas Road and Shahrah-e-Faisal. Allow extra time in the evening rush, and for a pre-dawn flight send the check-in time when you book. Out of Karachi, Shahrah-e-Pakistan leads to Sohrab Goth and the M-9, which runs 136 km to Kotri, just outside Hyderabad, Sindh. Intercity trips are quoted per trip and motorway tolls are extra; on runs over a day, the driver's overnight stop is included.

Questions people ask
What does a car with a driver cost in F.B. Area?
Daily hire starts at PKR 5,000 for the Suzuki Alto and covers 10 hours with the driver. Fuel is extra, and so is overtime if the day runs long. Pay by cash, card, bank transfer or online.
Is Gulberg in Karachi the same as Federal B Area?
The names overlap: Gulberg Town is the administrative town covering most of F.B. Area, including Karimabad, Water Pump, Yaseenabad, Naseerabad and Azizabad. It is not the same as Gulberg in Lahore, where Alpha also provides cars with drivers.
Can I book a car for an appointment at Tabba Heart Institute or the Karachi Institute of Heart Diseases?
Yes. Tabba Heart Institute is in Block 2 and the Karachi Institute of Heart Diseases in Block 16, near the UBL Sports Complex. The driver collects you from home, waits through the check-up or tests and brings you back. Book the whole day if you are unsure how long the visit will take.
Can a company in the Federal B Industrial Area hire cars on a monthly invoice?
Yes. Send the number of vehicles, the working hours and the pick-up points, and the arrangement is quoted as a whole.
Do you have pickups or loaders for moving stock from F.B. Area?
Yes. For stock, samples or exhibition material there is a light Suzuki Ravi Pickup, a Hyundai Shehzore and the bigger Mazda / Isuzu Truck, each with our driver. Tell the office what you are moving and where.

Yes, free of charge if the office hears at least 24 hours before the start time. Send any change of time, car or address to the office rather than the driver. If the car develops a fault mid-booking, another is sent.
